The Dog Control Officer is appointed by the Town Board. Dog Control is regulated by the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets.
Dog Licenses:
You may register your dog with the Town Clerk
In the town of Wilmington, dogs older than four months are required to be licensed and registered.
The fees for a dog license are as follows: $10.00 for spayed/neutered; $20.00 for unaltered.

You may also contact the North Country SPCA directly at 518-873-5000. The dog will be brought to the SPCA where it is checked for a microchip and held for five days while awaiting its owner.
