Wilmington Town Supervisor’s Report on 10.25.26 Hello, and welcome to another Town Supervisor’s Report. Here is some of the news from Wilmington. 1. Budget There is a consensus on the town board that we will be able to stay below the state tax cap (which the state has set, via a cryptic formula, above 3% for Wilmington this year). There have been some bumps in the road, but we continue working to stay below a 2% increase in the tax levy. Fall Projects and Upgrades Happening Around Town
Below are photos of some projects around town: Bowman Lane was paved this week! And the Transfer Station is getting a long-awaited upgrade! Here are some photos during the process, more to come once the building and decking are finalized. The new building will be efficient and long lasting! A big upgrade from the previous building with broken windows. Thank you to Darin Forbes for vetting the building, and to the Highway and Parks departments for all of their hard work during both projects!
