The Court is in regular session every Thursday (except for holidays) beginning at 7:15 pm. Each Justice presides on alternating weeks. Criminal proceedings requiring the presence of the Essex County District Attorney are heard during sessions held on the second Thursday of each month. Petitions for civil actions can be brought to attention during any regular session.
