Get Involved in Wilmington’s Comprehensive Plan Process
Wilmington’s Comprehensive Plan is due for an update, and the Town is beginning that process now.
A Comprehensive Plan helps guide the future of Wilmington. It reflects who we are as a community, identifies current conditions and assets, and helps set priorities for the years ahead. It will support grant applications and project proposals and help to address future challenges the town may face. Updating the plan will rely on community input to shape a shared vision for Wilmington’s future.
The process will be community-driven and guided by a Comprehensive Plan Committee. Residents, property owners, business owners, and others with ties to Wilmington are encouraged to get involved. There will be a variety of ways to participate, including surveys and other opportunities for public input. The updated comprehensive plan will be written by professionals based on input from as many members of our community as possible.
As a first step we are organizing a committee that will collect this input through surveys, workshops and focus groups. Would you like to be part of that committee?
To submit your name for the committee, visit CP Plan, or sign up in person at the Town Hall (Community Center Cir, Wilmington, NY 12997).
