Hello Friends! Our 16th Annual Wilmington Christmas Celebration is now in the books. What an amazing time that was held by both the young and the young at heart.  The fireworks were indeed spectacular and the gift parade with Santa was so much fun! Thank you to all that contributed to the yearly community event. Special thanks to all of the town employees that always rise to the occasion of going above and beyond. SUPERVISORS REPORT FOR WEEK ENDING 11/17/2023  Hello Everyone, Recently Haselton Lumber Company announced it had been sold to Zach Marshall. As taken from their notice on the sale, Haselton Lumber Company has been a fixture in the Adirondacks for the past 123 years. That statement is so accurate. In fact, I would go a little further, Haselton Lumber has been an important part of Wilmington's growth and history for the same time period. SUPERVISOR REPORT FOR WEEK ENDING 11/10/2023  Hello Wilmington! I start off this week's report thanking all the candidates that ran for office this past week. Congratulations to those that were successful in their political pursuits. I look forward to a smooth transition of my office to the Supervisor Elect.  Our towns Parks Department will soon be placing Holiday Decorations up around our community for the season. SUPERVISORS REPORT FOR WEEK ENDING 11-03-23  I start out this week with an official commendation to all the volunteers, businesses, organizations that made the 2023 Halloween "Trunk or Treat" so successful. Hundreds of children and adults attended the event at the KOA property in town. A special shout out to event organizer Tina Terry Preston, for doing such an awesome job. The community spirit was alive and well in Wilmington that evening.  Honestly, I think it is a toss-up who enjoys the Halloween Festivities more, the children or the adults. SUPERVISORS REPORT FOR WEEK ENDING 10-27-23  Hello everyone! This past week I attended an event in Westport celebrating the Housing Assistance of Essex County's latest housing rehab project. The function was very well attended and it was announced at this same event that the group will now be known as "Adirondack Roots" The new slogan is "Better Housing, Stronger Communities"  Adirondack Roots is the organization that the Town of Wilmington will be partnering with in bringing obtainable housing to our town.
